MULTIMODE TERMINALS – VALEC

The study provides an analysis of VALEC’s current and future railway grid, thus helping qualify multimode terminals and define monitoring for already-granted terminals.
The project includes a study for installing terminals capable of running freight transshipment in an efficient and streamlined way by putting the railway, highway, and waterway grids together. In order to do that, demand, terminal qualification, conceptual plan, signage, and monitoring studies are carried out. The two railways being studied in this project are Ferrovia Norte-Sul (FNS, or North-South Railway) and Ferrovia de Integração Oeste-Leste (FIOL, or West-East Integration Railway).
