Automated Tracking System – AUV for the North-South Railway
The purpose of this project is to enable the technical staff of VALEC – Engenharia, Construções e Ferrovias SA, responsible for the Operational Control Center (CCO), to monitor and control on-line control procedures for the licensing of trains (FNS), corresponding to the section between Porto Nacional (TO) and Anápolis (GO).
The proposed work is being carried out in a continuous interaction between the team of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), supported by the Protocol of Cooperation and Partnership signed with the Railroad Tereza Cristina, and the technicians of VALEC, aiming at assuring quality, scope and the scope of the work, as well as the necessary interaction in VALEC’s analyzes and suggestions of interest.
The works comprise the definition and implementation of a computerized system to assist VALEC controllers in the daily licensing activities of railroad trains, integrated with a Global Positioning System (GPS), based on an existing technological solution that will be updated and adapted to meet the needs of VALEC.
