SIGSEP – INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR SEP (PORTS SECRETARIAT)

The SIGSEP is a system that allows the Secretariat of Ports (SEP) to perform transportation and logistics planning, with focus on the port sector. As a tool of exploitation, the SIGSEP developed by LabTrans / UFSC has been assisting in the development of the National Plan of Port Logistics (PNLP) and the preparation of Port Master Plans.

The SIGSEP is an important tool used by technicians at LabTrans / UFSC and SEP together with domestic and international consultants who have been plotting long-term strategies that increase the efficiency of the Brazilian ports. The result of this process is the National Plan of Port Logistics. The SIGSEP has been also used in the preparation of Master Plans for the fifteen major Brazilian ports.
