IIRSA PROJECT PORTFOLIO IN BRAZIL

This project was conducted in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and it sought to:

• Support the evaluation and update of the transportation projects portfolio of the South American Regional Infrastructure Integration Initiative (IIRSA) in Brazil.
• Support the preparation of the Executive Technical Groups (ETGs) within the Brazilian participation.
• Support the development of action strategies for the IDB in Brazil towards the IIRSA.

In order to achieve these goals, an analysis of the IIRSA portfolio towards the transportation projects of the Brazilian Growth Acceleration Program (PAC) and the National Plan of Transportation and Logistics in Brazil (PNLT) was developed. The work takes into account the methodological procedures and concepts advocated and employed in all the IIRSA portfolio projects, and it considers the strategic vision, and objectives established by this initiative.
