DEVELOPMENT AND ZONING PLAN FOR THE PORT OF PARANAGUÁ

The Development and Zoning Plan for the Port of Paranagua (DZPPP) chiefly aims at:

• Obtaining an updated physical record of the port;
• Preparation of a development plan that eases its limitations and provides for sustainable growth of the port;
• Allocation of areas to be used for port activities through the definition of future zoning of the port.

Among the main results are:

• A structured diagnostic regarding all aspects of the port and its relation to the environment in which it is located;
• The definition of an action plan which lists the improvements and investments necessary for the Port of Paranaguá to meet anticipated demand over the next 20 years;
• The definition of port macro-zoning as well as areas of port expansion.
