Formulation of the State Passenger Transport Policy of Santa Catarina

Studies were carried out for the Department of Transportation and Terminals (Deter) of Santa Catarina with the objective of complying with the state law that governs the intermunicipal transport of passengers to the national legal scenario, resulting from the changes promoted by the Federal Constitution of 1988.

As a result, a bill was drafted, aiming at implementing a State Policy, developed from the diagnosis of the system, the survey and analysis of the current situation at federal level and in other states, the analysis of modern technologies and management practices, and the holding of regional meetings, which provided popular participation in the process.

The studies considered the road and waterways modalities, considering also the possibility of including the rail modal in the state system of passenger transportation.
