STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF BRAZILIAN WATERWAYS AND ITS PORT FACILITIES

This project aims at developing studies related to the National Waterway Integration Plan (PNIH), and it has four main objectives, where the first deals with the development of a georeferenced database suitable for ANTAQ; the second refers to the implementation and customization of the Geographic Information System for Water Transportation – the SIGTAQ; the third involves supporting the development of a study with analysis in different logistical scenarios, seeking for consistency in the installation of new port terminals and alternatives for short-sea waterway transportation; and finally, the fourth objective considers the training of personnel, technical support and practical application of the system along with the ANTAQ team.
