Socio-Environmental Guidelines for Transport Infrastructure

This project refers to the Decentralized Execution Term (TED) nº 02/2014 / SPNT / MT, signed between the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation (MTPA) and the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) – for the “Technical Support in the Preparation of the Study of Social and Environmental Guidelines of the Ministry of Transport ”.

It is important to highlight that, during the development of the works, the Secretariats of Ports of the Presidency of the Republic (SEP / PR) and the Secretariat of Civil Aviation of the Presidency of the Republic (SAC / PR), which had their duties incorporated to the Ministry of Transport (MT), which became known as the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation (MTPA).

To achieve the objective of developing socioenvironmental guidelines, at the level of public policy, nine steps were carried out that included the planning and development of the project:

1. Establishment of the Work Plan.
2.Conducting interviews with transport and environment entities;
3.Diagnosis of the application of the Environmental Policy of MT;
4.Preparation of thematic socio-environmental study;
5.Preparation of draft social and environmental guidelines for the MTPA;
6.Conducting a presentation and discussion workshop on the draft social and environmental guidelines of the MTPA;
7.Presentation of socio-environmental guidelines to the authorities for validation;
8.Elaboration and launching of the final document of the social and environmental guidelines of the MTPA; and
9.Technical capacitation.
