LOGISTICS CHAIN

In partnership with SEP, this project consists of coordinating the activities of different entities via a set of technological tools, such as Optical Character Recognition System (OCR), Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), sensors and a rigorous registry for trucks and drivers in order to permit the management access flows from virtual pre-scheduling of vehicles up to their physical exit from the port.

The integrated Portolog system is one of the primary tools in the Logistic Chain process as it brings together traffic information of the trucks that access the port, enabling agility in the liberation of cargoes, reducing or eliminating waiting time among other advantages. Portolog is supported by data taken at points along the Logistic Chain, at cargo origin and the port terminal, as well as collection points along the route.
