CENTRAL BRAZIL PROJECT

The Central Brazil Project consists of an economic evaluation and identification of priorities related to strategic transportation projects, primarily in the field of land transportation, in the Central Brazil area. The study takes into consideration existing road and railroad tracks, which can be expanded or improved, and new road works to be implemented. The project ultimately aims at improving the movement of high demand products through long-distance routes.

The project also included an economic and financial evaluation, comparing the benefits in terms of reducing the logistics costs with the implementation costs of works. The simulations allow us to know the value of reducing the logistics cost in each project, the future total load in each scenario and the optimal opening year for the projects, considering projection horizons of 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2025.
