TARIFF POLICY ANALYSIS – DETER / SC

Analysis of the tariff policy at the Department of Transportation and Terminals of Santa Catarina – DETER-SC, and the tariff calculation model adopted by it, indicating the appropriate procedures and revisions. The Tariff Policy aims at developing an important tool for supporting the development and improvement of management in passenger transportation.

The work resulted in a new classification system for lines of the Regular Passenger Transportation System of the State of Santa Catarina. The lines with similar characteristics were grouped together, resulting in 16 different groups: 13 for urban transportation and 3 for intercity. Another result of this work was the development of a Tariff Calculation Manual and a Tariff Calculation System, which allows the assessment of transportation costs for the 16 groups individually and display of lines in a GIS platform.
