History

The Transportation and Logistics Laboratory (LabTrans / UFSC), created in 1998, carries on several activities in the fields of education, research and extension. LabTrans focuses its studies and projects in the areas of Transportation and Logistics, and it has been mainly involved with:

• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for transportation and logistics;
• Logistics systems;
• Macro logistics;
• Planning, organization and operation of transportation systems;
• Project evaluation.

Objectives

To contribute with the quality improvement of undergraduate and graduate education at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, as well as the research and extension in the Transportation and Logistics field, preparing engineers who are capable of performing works of the highest level of complexity and technical relevance, according to the market needs.
