MS WIM - High Speed Weigh-in-Motion System

LabTrans / UFSC, in partnership with DNIT, carries on an innovative research project with sensors and systems for weighing in motion. These activities aim at the identification, evaluation and specification of Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems with multiple sensors for weight-limit enforcement. The project includes the analysis of pavement behavior and the tire/pavement interaction. The general operation of the sensors is exemplified in the following layout.
